  • Tiny House Forum Rules

Registration to this forum is free! However, we do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. TinyHouseForum.com is a community of individuals, companies, and organizations who are here to learn new information, to share knowledge, to help each other, and to help their fellow peers in the tiny house community. With that in mind, we ask that all members please follow these simple rules in order to create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.

Although the administrators and moderators of Tiny House Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and may not be consistent with the views of Tiny House Forum. As such will not be held responsible for the content of any messages. You may assist us with monitoring rule violations by clicking “Flag” link located in any post.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. The owners of Tiny House Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason. However, if you simply follow the rules below we will have no need to do so.
    1. All information and instructions given on this site is to be used at your own risk. By following or using any of this information you give up the right to hold TinyHouseForum.com liable for any damages.
    2. Answers to many of the questions you may have can be found by using the search feature. Please use the search feature, at the top right of each page to find your answers to your questions before making a new post. If the search feature does not return any relevant posts please feel free to post a new topic.
    3. The posting of any copyrighted material on our web site is strictly prohibited.
    4. Posting links in order to generate affiliate commissions is not permitted. Any posts that are deemed to be posted in order to generate affiliate commissions, regardless of the product being promoted, will be deleted. If a user continues to create affiliate SPAM posts, they will be banned.
    5. There will be no use of profanity on our message boards. This will not be tolerated and can lead to immediate suspension. While constructive debate and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity (or attempts to bypass profanity filters), insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. This includes but is not limited to comments made to incite racial, ethnic, religion, gender-based insults or any other personal discriminations including sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. This will not be tolerated and can lead to immediate suspension. Our decision is final in these matters.
    6. When posting, please use proper grammar. Refrain from 'text-message' style substitutions of words like 'u' for 'you', and 'ur' for 'your'. This is a multi-national forum, and some of our non-English speaking members must use translation software which is confused by abbreviations. Most of our volunteer members are very busy helping as many people as they can, and a post that is hard to read will often be overlooked. Please also refrain from posting meaningless topics, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the equivalent.
    7. There will be no posts meant to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory. This includes flaming, trolling, or instigating arguments.
    8. Unsolicited spamming is not permitted, please keep all your posts as constructive as possible. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, visitor messages, blog comments, picture comments and private message systems to spam other members. The single exception to this rule is if another user creates a post asking a specific question that is related to a product, service or information that you offer or know of others that offer. In offering a solution to the original poster’s question you may provide a link to that offering without it being considered to be SPAM. Please do no abuse this exception to the spamming policy. You may also include a URL in your Tiny House Forum profile as well as adding your company to our free business directory.
    9. This forum has the right to request alteration or deletion of any offensive post. If this is not done in a prompt manner, the Staff will delete the material themselves.
    10. Posts may be deleted for any reasons the forum administrators or moderators deem reasonable.
    11. Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit, offensive, or copyrighted.
    12. Advertisements, of any sort, are not permitted unless covered by the exemption in rule number 8.
    13. Avatars must be in good taste. This means no vulgar or violent images, pornography, or profanity. Avatars that are found to be inappropriate will be removed at the discretion of the staff.
    14. Linking to hate, anti-Semitic, racist, pornography, warez, or other illegal sites is not permitted. Neither is discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations.
    15. Member's display names cannot be email addresses.
    16. Members may have only one account on this forum. There is no need to have more than one.
    17. We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate community standards. The moderators shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
    18. Any impersonation of a user from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning.
    19. Linked and locked topics are pruned regularly to reduce page clutter. If you have a question about where your topic went, please PM a Moderator or Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was locked and/or removed.

Violation of any of these rules can lead to a banning of the user from our Web Site and a deletion of their account. The consequences will be determined by the Staff on a case by case basis. When posting you agree that the administrators and the moderators of this forum have the right to modify, delete, edit or close any topic, signature, account, or profile data at any time that they see fit. If you have any questions concerning this, please do not start a new thread, but rather send a private message to an administrator or moderator.

There should be a accept box for everyone to check so, the administrators know that everyone that has joined understands and has read the rules. I'm just saying.

Hello there, everyone who registers for the site must check a box on the registration page that states: "I have read and agreed to the site's Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Rules." Otherwise they will not be able to register for the site.
